Its ironic to see a big U turn by Sunni Tehreek which was very vocal and aggressive against PML-N due to its links with banned organizations like SSP and Lashkar e Jhangvi and was always on the front foot to criticize this dual game of PML-N. Now Sunni Tehreek has announced to form an electoral alliance with the same party.
This electoral alliance between Muslim League Nawaz and Sunni Tehreek was announced in a joint press conference of the leadership of two parties. PML-N delegation headed by Mamnoon Hussain called on ST leadership in Karachi after which a joint press conference was made. ST leader Shahid Ghouri in the press conference criticized current ruling parties and said that PPP and its coalition partners are responsible for all the corruption, extortion and lawlessness in the country. He said that a committee has been formed by ST and PML-N leadership to further discuss the modalities of alliance.
Its important to mention here that Sunni Tehreek Leader Sarwat Ijaz Qadri and many others have openly blamed PML-N for having links with organizations like Sipah e Sahaba and Lashkar e Jhangvi. Sunni Tehreek and SSP are hostile to each other and both having a common friend like PML-N is quite a strange thing. It seems that in a dream of a few seats, ST has agreed to join hands with those forces to whom they ware calling root of all the mess, sectarian violence and bloodshed.
