So now the game has got another turn and PML-N has decided to form an alliance with Ahl-e-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat (formerly called SSP) in South Punjab for upcoming general elections. According to Dunya News, five seats in South Punjab will be give to ASWJ (SSP) while SSP will support PML-N at seven seats.

According to Daily Dunya sources, the agreement between the two parties is at almost final stage. The meetings are being held between PML-N Punjab Law minister Rana Sana Ullah and Ahl-e-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat leaders Maulana Ahmad Ludhyanvi, Dr. Khadim Hussain Dhilon and Malik Ishaq. Malik Ishaq belongs to banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi who got released from Jail a few months back after a long imprisonment.

The electoral alliance will be functional in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan, Layya and Faisalabad regions. Sipah-e-Sahaba has a strong hold in these regions with thousands of Deobandi seminaries in these districts.
